about

Here's a response to the uncontrolled growth and gentrification in Denver, Colorado.

lyrics

Bust or boom, both are coming soon, you’ll call these the good glory days. When the money comes diversity leaves the white wash taints the grey. Million dollar bricks and Delgany pricks are just another sign, they’ve come for the green, take what they see now my towns growing while dying.

The secrets out kiss it goodbye they’re gonna suck it dry, I've come to plead you'll take heed, my towns growing while dying.

Now the meat Market Street babes are crying for what once never was, the south Broadway tunes feign the blues business never gets tired, of making love to misery, king justice has been fired, for keeping the old from the new now my town is growing while dying.

The secrets out kiss it goodbye they’re all gonna suck it dry, I’ve come to plead you’ll take heed that my towns growing while dying.

You live to hemorrhage the joke of poverty’s wage, you’re stewing in the brew of worlds order new, and a side of restless rage.

The high rise shuns the worried shack, where the long time riddles lie, they’re leaving clues to stain the news the pretty people own the lives, of what once was yours, now is theirs as you’re caught behind the times, ‘cause you can’t afford to choke down the price of your town growing while dying.
